Teaching very young people to ride with very qualified instructors
First steps for a boy or girl. The Association will send at its own expense (travel and fees) a qualified and prestigious instructor to teach the first steps (and a few more) to very young people, between 8 and 13 years old. No matter the nationality of the racer or the country of the world where these races will take place. If there is no national federation in the country, belonging to any association dedicated to motorcycle sport will suffice.
If you are interested, please contact us by email at 12aima.team@protonmail.ch to coordinate this activity and receive instructions for preparing all the necessary conditions on site. As a general rule, safety measures are fundamental for AIMA.
In 1927 the rule for the admission of riders to competitions read as follows: “Every rider shall be a male person over 18 years old”. Luckily, over the last 25 years, things have been changing. In the year 2000 the FIM began to hold the first Cups, followed by World Championships for women. Some of them have been competing in Circuit Racing alongside the men with remarkable success.
Motorcycling historically dispensed with the contributions of women, not only in competitions but in leadership or technical roles. We had to wait until the mid-1970’s to see the first women in these roles.
One of AIMA’s priority objectives is to promote the participation of women. We will help them in every way possible to open the doors that are still only ajar.
Sporting, medical, technical, environment and so on
The national motorcycling organisations need Race Directors and Stewards in different areas at national and international levels. Our intention is to offer a preparation course ahead of the FIM seminars. At the moment, we have instructors for Circuit Racing and Motocross. The instructor’s costs will be borne by the Association.
