THE ASSOCIATION
The Association’s mission is to foster motorcycling sport among young people and motorcycling in all its aspects, and to promote collaboration among specialised organisations and/or industries.
This year for AIMA is a special year. We celebrate the centenary of the birth of Andrea Ippolito, our source of inspiration. We have followed in his footsteps in the sense of his passion for motorcycling and the values that guided him throughout his life.
We hope that the content of what we write reflects those values of pure love for our sport and that it is useful to our readers, unconditional fans of motorcycling.

Activities
The range of possible support activities we offer in motorcycling is very wide.
To start with, we have identified several specific fields. However, as different opportunities arise, we will try to broaden the scope of our activities. We cover all the following without exception: riders, teams, industries, national sports organisations, event promoters, fans of our sport and riders with disabilities.
LEARNING TO RACE
Teaching very young people to ride with very qualified instructors
WOMEN IN PROGRESS
“Every rider shall be a male person over 18 years old…”
PRE SEMINARS

Management
Created along the same lines as the Fundación Andrea Ippolito set up in Venezuela in the 1980’s, AIMA pursues similar objectives but at international level. That is why we have an equally international management team.
First of all, we would like to thank Michael Reiss von Filski, a highly professional executive who, despite his many occupations as Global CEO of Geneva Group International, took a passionate interest in our project and became President of the Association. We would also like to thank Csaba Valentik for taking on the position of Secretary.
The Management is also able to count on the valuable IT support of Natalia Ippolito, creator of this site, and the work of journalist Octavio Estrada, biographer of Andrea, in the area of media relations.
We shall also have the support of capable professionals in other areas of expertise as part of our team along the way.
Our thanks go to them all. Vito & Claudio Ippolito
who was
Andrea Ippolito
Andrea Ippolito was born in Torre del Greco (close to Naples) on 3 January 1924. Already from a very early age, the dynamic Andrea, son of a bicycle and moped dealer, became interested in mechanics and speed.
However, in 1940 Italy gets directly involved in World War II as a German and Japanese ally. Then the 16-year-old teenager Ippolito enlists in the Royal Italian Navy. He survives the sinking of two destroyers, he is captured by Nazi forces and spends nearly two years in a prison camp in Germany under inhuman conditions.
